I wanted to add this because a few people were under the impression that I stole the artwork due to not crediting Chrissa in the video. That was never my intention, as the drawing was in fact drawn by me, and with DTIYS challenges not having any sort of official ruleset, it’s a bit of a gray zone. I just want to teach about art styles in this video and never meant any harm. So I hope this bit clears it up 💖 I love and adore Chrissabug’s art and respect them as an artist and content creator. It was truly a pleasure to have taken part in the DTIYS Chrissa hosted.

When I think of art style, I think of how the characters look. That includes their eyes, nose, and mouth. And my goal is to make an art style that's similar to anime, and that it's not ugly

I´m so jeolus of my friends who can replicate art styles with ease. It´s a little upsetting cause I´m not there yet skill wise. I´m trying to not compare myself too much but it´s kinda hard.

i love drawing stylised art bc i’ve never had skills in realism or semi-realism- that is to say this exercise actually didn’t help me at all…my favourite artists atm are all semi-realistic artists and i simply do not have the skills or techniques for that
I’ve been trying to make a comic book but it looks too anime so I’ve been looking for ways to improve my art and constantly redoing the book. So frustrating!
My weakness is hair and bodies
My medium messes with how I draw, with oil pastels it tends to be realistic because I can play with shading easily, . Bu t if I’m drawing with pencils it looks more cartoonly and stylized
Finding favourite artists and styles was really easy because I originally have an drawing reference board on Pinterest!!!
And having the visual search button under posts I like, helps me find stuff like it!!
It's very strange and dishonest when I find the same art being shared on more than one channel. THE SAME ART! See it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7WQQQFjbQY&t=335s I don't know which artist is the real owner of this drawing (whether @ChrissaBug or @Nadiaxel, because I didn't find proper credit in any of the two channels, and both are from 2021 (from what I could understand). All I know is that the art is beautiful (I liked the 'ChrissaBug' style better), but I'm sad that I can't recognize the real owner, so I don't I can give proper credit. 🙁
I have tried copying other styles but it just ends up looking like my style every time, big rip. For example I love vivziepops style so much like you do, and I try copying it for exercise but it ends up being a big fail. Oh well, guess I just need to practice more I guess… EDIT: I’ve been practicing and nothing has changed, I’m so angry at myself

You are my inspiration! I really love your art and artstyle.
My issue is I want to work towards a cartoon art style but there isn't any YouTuber or twitch streamer that I want as my inspiration. Second I need someone to communicate with and to give criticism.
You said that everyone uses inspiration for there work, yet for my best piece I didn't get inspiration from any artist, I was just drawing with trial and error. I haven't seen a YouTuber with a similar style. I might be blind is all.
What app are you using to do this art in the begining?

I've been trying to find a helpful video that I can understand for like 5 hours now, thank you for explaining it in a way that I can actually understand! Lol
Everyone who is struggling with this, you will find your art style! It can't take 1-3 years to actually master drawing things like anime, tho for everyone it's different. Now I'm in no room to talk but your art style will come to you. Watch helpful videos like this, look at references and helpful pictures. You will find it eventually. Good luck!
I cannot draw men-
I think the hardest thing about art, and why I always seem to cry in frustration when trying to self help with art tip videos, is just that I never learned how to STUDY art. It was always something I could just DO so when my skill level plateaud I never learned or was taught what to do in that situation. Going to other artist's works to "copy" or "emulate" always seems taboo. And trying to find exact model references is a painful and distracting process for me personally.
This is the first video where I've made it past the intro and the exercise actually seems doable and might actually teach me how to study something and pick back up what I'm constantly throwing away because of frustration and low self esteem. Thank you so much

Наверное никто не поймет и не увидит, но я очень в шоке с совета, мне нравится разные художники, в рисунках где мне очень нравится рисунок, в них присутствуют 1 яркий цвет, а в тех которых я сомневаюсь какой рисунок выбрать, нет этого яркого цвета, я попытаюсь рисовать по новому, хах…. они все мужчины, это я сделала вывод давно
