My whole life i never gave art a proper go because i thought you needed to just be born talented as both my parents are very good at art and i am definitely not… Only now did i realise that it just takes time and practise. Super excited to give it a good try now!
Can you make a tutorial for the fundamentals, please? I still feel lost and I am losing the passion
I am self-taught with using a mouse to make digital art because I was young and had no money for a tablet, and I honestly got pretty good at it, but holy hell the difference it made when I bought a $40 second-hand lowest tier Bamboo tablet. The change in quality and enjoyment I got from such a small device is insane. It's worth the investment even if it's just a hobby. You might think you won't use it that much but for me personally I started drawing much more often after getting it.

I'm beginner digital artists so it is necessary to learn and draw human body anatomy
Almost 4yrs on traditional art, now i want to learn digital art
Excellent video! You seem to be humble and honest. You got a follower here 👍🏼
I have a Wacom one and I love it. Really mad at myself for not getting an iPad though I hate being stuck at the computer, although it helps me keep working on traditional which is my love.
Just starting out my digital art journey (coming from traditional art). I ordered a Galaxy Tab S7 FE … so excited to be on this journey! 😃🎨✅
Dude if you have to chose between drawing on ipad or on a laptop + pen combo… What would you choose? Which experience is better??
My Huion HS 64 is working so much better than the entry level wacom I bought as my first tablet. I had so many pen disconnects and issues with the wacom that I probably won't buy the brand ever again.
I'm excited for when I can buy the Xiaomi pad and pen as it's windows compatible which will work with my workflow better than apple products. Do you have a review on it yet?
Ive been drawing for years , but i still dont understand how to use tools
As a working father only have about 30 a day. Just trying to stay consistent
take a look at resources you have got:
A phone and a 5€ thic stylus that is Not made for drawing
One question I have is for the drawing pads that have a screen, why do they need to be connected to a PC/laptop still? And does the PC/laptop need to have good specs like the non-screen pads?
Thx Trent,
The “Mindset” list in this video is a list I needed. You got yourself a new subscriber.
A lot of really good more modern artist who were trained as graphic artist have become great oil painters. How or what is the process ? I am total confused. Any help appreciated.ex; Greg Newbold; ( I like Southwest art).
What do you think of the UGEE S640 drawing tablet , it's my first time trying digital art and I just ordered it
Outside of the US Ipads can be pretty expensive. In places in south america for example you might as well buy a motorcycle.
I'm using a Gaomon m1230 drawing board to begin. The price point is around sixty usd.
I've liked it so far, but I have very little experience.
I know someone who drew the art for 3 of his books using a mouse and they looked great. He also wrote all 3 books (and more) on a phone.
great video as always man 👏👏👏👏👏

Where did the intro music gone?
After watching your XP-Pen Artist 12 review a few years back, I decided to purchase it and I am totally happy with it. I did not even have to swap the pen tip yet (even though they sent several replacement tips with it, so I thought they would break fast). It is small but thus it fits perfectly on smaller desks in front of the monitor. Imo it is perfect for starters and hobbyists.
(The drivers act a bit weird from time to time though.)
Your work is so dope man like seriously
I have Samsung galaxy s8 plus tab….what programs are good to get as a start?
I can say from experience you want a drawing tablet before a monitor tablet. It does not get easier to "see" what you're drawing on. Paper medium does not transfer 1:1 to monitor tablet. I'd argue it transfers better to a drawing tablet.
Personally I've had a lot of cramps and frustration with a monitor tablet. The posture isn't great and it's more difficult to draw at the stand's angle with your arm and even worse when you use your wrist.
