  1. Great tutorial. I was actually looking to figure out how I can bring a image into illustrator and then use my Apple Pencil to trace the image? I am essentially trying to trace photos of people and turn them into characters. Do you have a tutorial on this or a skill share class you could recommend?

  2. Thank you for the tutorial. I have been putting off Illustrator for years. It's funny because as an artistically inclined person who is also decent at programming and learning computer software, I have always disliked the way Illustrator does things. But this tutorial for the pen tool was great.

  3. Sorry but it doesn't show how to actually use the pen tool. It demonstrates the pen tool being used but not how to make it function. Should we be holding a key? How do we cast off when finishing a movement? I just get straight lines and no handles.

  4. I've been designing professionally for over a decade, and today learned I've been making way more points on my paths than necessary. Thanks for the tips!!

  5. Excellent.. so much thank you…. I am so frustrated learning this tool… your vid has helped heaps… obviously it is still a learned technique that comes with practice but seeing how you are using it has filled a gap which I haven’t grasp with my current tuts…

  6. My goal today was to learn how to use the pen tool and this video helped me so much, I’m so happy I can trace a squirrel!! thank you for taking time out to share your skills 🎉🎉
