How it works
No black boxes. Every number on NFTFreaks comes from public data, and every formula is on this page.
The data
- The chain is the source of truth. Mints, sales, prices, offers, auctions, listings, transfers, burns and current owners come from the ArtCollect marketplace contract (
KT1HRRMs7XdrVr1gUzCgtUBjoidBZctuLrNn) on Tezos, read through the public TzKT indexer. Every sale links to its transaction. - ArtCollect profiles provide artist names, avatars, bios and follower counts. This data is off-chain and isn't proof of ownership.
- Artwork loads straight from ArtCollect's CDN or IPFS. Nothing is re-hosted.
- Data refreshes about every 15 minutes. Every page header shows when it last updated.
Momentum score
Every artist earns activity points over the last 14 days:

The score (0–100) is the artist's percentile against every artist with recent activity. 100 means the most active, and 0 means nothing in 14 days. The arrow compares points with the 14 days before. NEW means there was no activity before.

- Top 10 One of the 10 highest momentum scores over the last 14 days.
- Rising Activity is at least 1.5× the previous 14 days, or the artist started selling after a quiet stretch.
- Cooling Activity is half or less of the previous 14 days.
Activity
- Selling Made a primary sale in the last 7 days.
- Creating Minted a new work in the last 7 days.
- Needs a collector Current work has been unsold for 14+ days. Until 10 sales, ArtCollect artists sell one work before minting the next.
- Quiet No mints, sales, listings or auctions in 30 days.
Career
- New First ArtCollect mint in the last 14 days.
- Established Has been minting on ArtCollect for 30+ days.
- Almost unlocked 7–9 of the 10 qualifying sales that unlock every ArtCollect seller tool.
- Just unlocked Reached 10 qualifying sales in the last 14 days and unlocked every seller tool.
- Unlocked Has 10 qualifying sales and access to every ArtCollect seller tool.
- Collector favorite 3+ collectors have come back to buy a second work.
Progress to unlock
New ArtCollect artists start with a limited toolkit and sell one work at a time. A qualifying sale is a paid offer on the artist's current work, accepted on-chain and bought by someone else. Ten qualifying sales unlock every ArtCollect seller tool. NFTFreaks reads this count directly from the contract.
Prices
- Volume is all XTZ paid for an artist's works, primary and resale.
- Median is the middle price of the artist's last five sales. It's a reference point, not an appraisal.
- Lowest ask is the cheapest active Buy Now listing or live auction price across the artist's works.
- Best offer is the highest open offer on any of their works.
Your privacy
We count visits to improve the site, without cookies and without third-party trackers. Your IP address is never stored: it is mixed with a secret that changes every day and turned into an anonymous code, so we can count a visit but can't recognise you tomorrow. We see the page, the site that sent you, your country and your type of device, browser and screen. Nothing is shared or sold.
